How to Talk About It Without the Speech
Most conversations about desire fail on timing rather than content. Raise it when nothing is expected of either of you.
Start from curiosity
“I read something I liked the sound of” invites a response. “We should try…” asks for a verdict. The first almost always goes better.
Agree on the exit before the entrance
A word or gesture that stops everything, honoured without discussion, makes it far easier to say yes to something new. Consent is ongoing, not a signature collected once.
Surrender slowly — and only ever by agreement.
